Ricardo Dal Farra, a composer and multimedia artist from Buenos Aires who has been active/researching/teaching in the fields of art, science, and new technologies, focusing on new media art and electroacoustics up to the present. This work was produced in 1978 when he was only 21 years old. Co-produced by Amilcar Gilabert, who was the producer of such as Charly Garcia, Pedro Aznar and engineered many masterpieces including La Banda, Serú Girán, and Spinetta. Together with his partner, Aby Borenstein, the album range from technical jazz-rock with the melancholy and longing typical of Argentina to ethnic jazz, electric acoustic tunes with experimental sensibility and ambience that foreshadow what is to come. Although it may be considered a progressive rock genre, this is a creative and captivating work that goes beyond that. It’s not inferior at all to the Argentine masterpieces produced during this period. Looking at his extensive achievements since then, firmly believe to deserves to be more widely appreciated. Top performers include Domingo Cura, Jorge Da Silva, Bernardo Baraj, Norberto Minichillo. The enigmatic title and cover art are also excellent.
ブエノスアイレス出身の作曲家/マルチメディアアーティストRicardo Dal Farra。現在に至るまでニューメディアアートと電気音響に焦点を当て、芸術、科学、新技術の融合分野で活動/研究/講師活動を行っている人物。本作は彼が若干21歳の時に制作した78年の作品。共同プロデュースをCharly GarciaやPedro Aznarのプロダクション並びにLa Banda, Serú Girán, Spinettaはじめ多くの名作のエンジニアを務めたAmilcar Gilabertが担当。パートナーのAby Borensteinと共に、この時代らしいアルゼンチン特有の哀愁や慕情を含んだテクニカルなジャズロックからエスニックジャズ、今後を予感させるような実験精神とアンビエンスを取り入れたエレクトリック・アコースティック曲まで収録。プログレの枠として扱われそうですが、それだけに留まらない創造的かつ魅惑的な作品。この時期に制作されたアルゼンチン名作群にも全く引けを取らないです。その後の功績を見てももっと広く評価されるべき作品と断言します。Domingo Cura, Jorge Da Silva, Bernardo Baraj, Norberto Minichilloなど一流の演者が参加しています。80年代にもケーナやギターを取り入れたヤバ～い音響作品もリリースしています。謎めいたタイトルとジャケットアートも素晴らしい。
