The first solo LP by Ghanaian vocalist/drummer Thomas Frempong, who has been active in the highlife band Dr. K. Gyasi & His Noble Kings since the 1970s. Total sophisticated 4 tunes include opening track "Aye Yi" with pleasant tempo, organ tone, cosmic atmosphere, exhilarating number "Odo Pa" with a solid beat, saxophone and trumpet harmony, highlight "Mada Meho So" with vocals, accented synths/electric guitars are mixed with the atmosphere from the intro, jazz influenced highlife tune ”Okwan Bi”. Amazing highlife piece.
70年代よりハイライフバンドDr. K. Gyasi & His Noble Kingsで活動してきたガーナ人ヴォーカリスト/ドラマーThomas Frempongによるソロ初作。心地よいテンポにオルガン、コズミック雰囲気が漂う冒頭の”Aye Yi”、しっかりとしたビートにサックス、トランペットの音色が交わる爽快なナンバー”Odo Pa”、イントロから雰囲気漂いながらヴォーカルに時折アクセントのシンセ、エレクトリックギターが混じりながらダンサンブルに仕立て上げられたハイライト”Mada Meho So”、ジャズ色が強く出たハイライフ・チューン”Okwan Bi”の非常に洗練された全4曲。
